We are delighted to announce that we have now officially opened our doors and welcomed our first young person, CP, into our new residential school.
Farah Quinn, Principal of Overton School informs C has had a fantastic start at Overton and has already started to develop positive relationships with all of the staff. She has an amazing sense of humour and has been keen to engage in some learning activities at school and leisure activities at home.
Overton School is a residential school which offers specialist care and education for young people with autism. This residential school, which is located on the outskirts of Ludlow in the beautiful Shropshire countryside, offers both residential and day placements for young people between the ages of 11 and 18. With a modern education block, dedicated academic and vocational learning spaces and excellent teaching, young people are able to achieve their full potential. The aim of the school is to provide a calm and structured environment with a high level of therapeutic support which allows young people to thrive both academically and socially.
In addition to our highly experienced staff team, young people will have access to specialist facilities such as well-equipped sensory aware rooms, a swimming pool, extensive grounds to facilitate physical activity, 1:1 rooms and high visual strategies enabling them to achieve the best outcomes.
We look forward to welcoming new young people into the School over the coming weeks.
